This notice explains what personal information Silly ("we", "us") collects when you apply through this website, why we hold it, and the rights you have over it. Silly is the data controller for this information.

What we collect

The application form on this site collects only the following:

• First name
• Work email address
• LinkedIn profile URL
• Your day rate (as a range)
• Your fractional role (short free text)
• A short free-text answer describing your positioning

We do not collect payment details, government identifiers, health data, or any other special-category data through this form.

Why we hold it

We use this information for one purpose only: to review your application and respond to it. That includes reading what you have written, checking that Silly is a plausible fit, and replying by email. The lawful basis is legitimate interests — assessing and responding to an enquiry you have voluntarily sent us.

Who sees it

Applications are read personally by Sri, who runs Silly. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing. The form submission and any subsequent email correspondence are stored in the standard business tools we use to run the studio (email and a form provider). Those providers process the data on our instructions under their own contractual obligations.

How long we keep it

If your application does not become an engagement, we delete your submission and related correspondence within 12 months. If it does, we keep it for the duration of our work together and for six years afterwards to satisfy UK tax and accounting requirements, after which it is deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to confirm what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to us processing it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
